1. Reading Assignments
- The major portion of your work in the first part of this course will consist of weekly assignment of readings. You would be randomly assigned to come up with discussion points and to lead discussions on some particular readings.
2. Class Participation
- The class will move very quickly to cover a lot of topics. Your attendance and participation in class in the form of presenting and discussing the papers is vital. There would also be several mini projects and activities that you are expected to engage and participate.
3. Final Research Project Paper
- The class requires a presentation of your chosen research project in the final’s week. The format of the project could be a literature
survey about creativity and measurements, about personality and design collaborations, about design thinking, or about where people find inspirations, etc. etc.), conducting some sort of empirical studies (protocol analysis of design activities or meetings? interviews with practitioners? designing creativity support tools? using cultural probe to investigate daily life? etc. etc.), or inventing computational tools to support creative design such as developing physical and tangible artifact (software, hardware, website, toys, community portals, playground, etc. etc.)
